1.6Modes, views and phases
Use B, C and D to switch between Browse, Choose and Develop.
Modes determine the main task:

| Develop | Edit one photograph from the selection captured when entering the mode |
In Choose, the phase determines which photographs appear. Phases have a fixed order:

| III · Inspect | Kept, at or above the chosen rating threshold |
| IV · Cleanup | Rejected |
Set the Inspect threshold with the star row inside its segment. It ranges from 1 to 5 and defaults to 3. The threshold affects both the phase count and displayed photographs. It does not affect Browse.
Views determine how photographs appear: Grid, Loupe or Compare. Every Choose phase supports every view, and switching views preserves the selection.
Develop captures the current selection in a tray and displays one photograph at a time. Its window has no rail or phase picker.
