The interface gets out of the way

Frames uses a dark interface, adjustable panels and accessible controls around the photograph.

Photographs appear from available previews and improve as better renditions load. A lower-quality rendition does not replace a better one.

The interface remains dark in every system appearance. Amber marks identify keeps, treatment counts, selection in the version picker and photograph position. Ratings use a separate gold. Grid describes each photograph badge.

Numbers use a monospaced face with fixed-width digits so changing counts remain aligned. Larger headings and small interface text use separate typefaces. Separators are one physical display pixel.

Controls have accessibility labels. VoiceOver reads star rows as groups and phase segments with their counts and selected state. Truncated readouts show their full text in tooltips.

Reset a control. Double-click the thumbnail-size slider for its default size, zoom for fit, or an adjustment dial for its default value. Tooltips include these gestures.
