Saved searches

Save a Browse query and its filters to run it again in any collection, with an updated library-wide result count.

Click Save beside Like this above the grid. Enter a unique name and press ⏎. Empty or duplicate names are rejected without clearing the field.

Saved searches appear alphabetically under SMART in the sidebar. Each row shows its current count; no number appears until the count is available.

Open and close. Click a saved search to restore its query, authored-keyword and detected-word chips, date range, cameras, lenses, RAW only, Edited, Kept, Monochrome, rating, status and sort order. The selected collection stays in place, and the search narrows its photographs. A blue outline and checkmark show which search is on. Click it again to restore the previous query, filters and sort.

Saving or typing a matching query leaves the Smart row off until you click it. If its settings were already applied when you switched it on, switching it off clears the search and filters. Changing the query turns the checkmark off; changing the selected collection keeps the search on.

Saved searches do not store the collection selected when saved. Select All Photographs to run one across the entire library. The count beside a saved search is its library-wide total.

Live counts. Ratings, verdicts, keywords, imports and sync update counts in the background.

Remove. Right-click a row and choose Remove Saved Search…, then confirm. Removing a search does not remove photographs.

Searches are stored in the catalogue separately from synced collection rows. They survive sync and remain compatible with newer query fields.
